Oxy-fuel cutting machine
  • 1.The cutting machine suddenly stops walking in work
    • a. Check if the machine fuss is disconnected, if the indicator lamp is ON, it means the fuss works normally;
    • b. Listen if the motor inside the machine runs, if the motor operates normally, and the clutch is closed, maybe the failure comes from the turbine, speed regulating potential device or circuit board;
    • c. If the motor cannot be heard to operate normally, please firstly check if the motor fails.
  • 2. The oxy-fuel cutting machine works normally, but the cutting effect is not ideal.
    • a.Please select the right type cutting tip according to the thickness of the cutting plate and the parameters of cutting tips in the instruction.
    • b.Please adjust the optimal cutting speed according to the actual cutting condition.
  • 3. No torch in cutting ignition
    • a.Please check if the gas circuit is connected correctly and if the two-way valve opens;
    • b.If air pressure and the proportion is set correctly;
    • c.If the cutting tips corresponding to different cutting gases are correct.
  • 4. Causes for flashback of cutting tip
    • a.The cutting tip is too close to the steel plate;
    • b.The cutting tip and the taper of the cutting torch are not matched;
    • c.There is greasy dirt in the air inlet rubber hose, cutting torch or cutting tip.
  • 5. Improper straightness of cutting surface
    • a.Check if the universal wheels are locked and parallel to the machine. We recommend the customer to remove the universal wheel which is far from the cutting torch in cutting operation;
    • b.Check if there is damage or foreign matter on the walking surface of the guide rail and if the walking surface is flat and straight.
  • 6. The cutting surface is not smooth in beveling work
    • a.In beveling cutting, the size of cutting tip shall be bigger than that in vertical cutting of the same plate, and also the torch shall be adjusted to the carbonized torch;
    • b.Check if the guide rail is clean or deformed, and keep the walking track of the cutting machine in work be flat and straight.
  • 7. How to maintain the cutting machine daily?
    • In daily use of the cutting machine, the cutting machine shall be placed carefully. Because of long-time operation of the machine, the lubricating oil can be easily consumed. We recommend replacing the lubricating oil of the gearbox every 6 months so as to reduce gear consumption.
  • 8. How to judge the preheating time of oxy-fuel cutting?
    • Open the preheating oxygen and fuel gas. After ignition, the proper proportion shall be adjusted. When the steel plate is heated to be whitened, the cutting oxygen can be opened for cutting.
  • 9. How to cut when the plate surface is uneven?

  • 1.General steps of correctly using the CNC cutting machine
    • Firstly, check the relevant operating manuals of torch or plasma power supplies so as to confirm the proper cutting distance between the cutting torch and the plate, and then ensure the normal pressure of the supply gas. In torch cutting, please check if the type of the cutting tip is correct, and next select the proper cutting speed according to plate thickness, and then the cutting work can be carried out.
  • 2. How to set the proper preheating time of oxy-fuel cutting
    • Cut from the edge of the steel plate. The preheating time for piercing shall be decided according to the type of fuel gas, surface quality of steel plate and regulation of heating torch.

    If the high-pressure preheating system is used, about 40% of the above listed data can be reduced. The preheating time can be set in the control system.

  • 3. How to judge if the cutting speed is correct. 
    • The user can observe the surface of the work piece which is cut. Figure 1 shows the overlow cutting speed, figure 2 is the correct speed and figure 3 is over high speed.
  • 4. In plasma cutting, there is a slope on the cutting surface.
    • The plasma arc is not a straight line but in a salix leaf shape. The cutting quality depends on the position of the cutting section of the plasma arc in cutting the steel plate. A large cutting slope will be caused if it is too high or too low. Also, the plate itself is also uneven sometimes, thus, there must be a voltage height regulation device to control the height of the cutting torch at real time so as to guarantee the steel plate and the plasma arc to be always on the optimal cutting position.
  • 5. Format of cutting documents for operating the CNC cutting machine
    • The format of the cutting documents used for our CNC cutting machine is TXT. If the user wants to use the format of DWG or DXF, it can be converted by the programming kit software delivered with the machine. The modified software has the functions of automatic discharge and improving the utilization ratio of materials.
  • 6. Failure of USB linkage
    • Firstly, confirm if the format of the U disk is FAT. If USB can normally operate on the computer, please check if the wire connection of the USB inserting slot of the CNC cutting machine is loosened or if the pin is normal. If everything is OK, it means the latest U disk and the CNC system of the former version are not matched, the U disk is recommended to be replaced for transmitting documents.
  • 7. When the fastCam software is used for material matching, automatic material matching cannot be carried out.

  • 1.How to do daily maintenance of the welding carriage?
    • Periodically clean the nozzle and check if the welding tip is damaged. At the same time, splashed substances on the roller and the carriage shall be cleaned, and also, check if the guide roller can rotate fluently.

  • 3. Space switch is invalid, welding operation cannot be stopped.

Check if terminals of the space switch are conducted. If yes, the sounds of KATA will appear if the switch is pressed down. If the switch is not invalid, it is the failure of the circuit board.
  • 4. The welding carriage doesn’t running in electrification
    • Possible causes for the failure: speed control is zero, and the fuss is molten off. Failure of start switch or failure of print circuit board, space switch is pressed down, or motor circuit is disconnected or damaged.
  • 5. Running speed of the welding carriage cannot be changed
    • Check if the variable resistor for speed control fails or is disconnected, and check if the motor and the print circuit board work normally.
  • 6. Absorbing force of the magnet cannot be weakened (even the handle is inclined) (some models don’t have the magnetic force switch handle).
    • The failure may be caused by the damage or breakage of the rotary shaft pin of the handle, and the shaft pin shall be replaced.
  • 7. Huawei welding carriage can be applied to which welding machines and signal adapters?

  • 8. How to confirm the extension length of the electrode?
    • When the electrode is overlong, bubbles can easily generate in the bath, the arc striking is not good, the electric arc is unstable and the depth of fusion is over shallow. When the electrode is too short, the nozzle can be easily blocked by splashing substances. The operator cannot see the welding wire clearly, and the depth of fusion is over deep. Generally to the fine stick CO2 gas protection welding, the extension length of the electrode is 8 to 14 mm, as well as 10 to 20mm of the thick stick CO2 gas protection welding. The extension length scopes of typical extension lengths of the electrode are shown by the following table.

  • 9. How to select the welding carriages of different specifications?

    • Firstly, measure the inner diameter of the processed pipe, and then select the required model to be fixed on the pipe end preparing mechanism according to the figure of pipe ends; then select the proper cutter to be fixed on the cutter head according to the figure of cutters, please pay attention that the blade direction shall be same as the rotating direction of the machine; return the stroke of the feeding hand wheel to make there is enough feeding space of the cutter and the pipeline port; insert the pipe end preparing mechanism into the pipe, slightly tighten the nut of the pulling rod, and then try to forward, backward, leftward and rightward swing the machine so as to make the expanding mechanism be correctly fixed at the pipe center by itself; tighten the nut of the pulling rod, and confirm the machine is fixed; and at last, connect with the power supply to work.
  • 3. How to correctly operate the pipe beveling machine?
    • When cut carbon steel and alloy steel, special cooling oil or cooling liquid shall be used for cooling so as to improve the service life of the cutter and reduce abrasion. Water or corrosive liquid is forbidden to be used for cooling. The force of the feeding hand wheel shall be uniform. When processing ends, rapidly and reversely rotate the hand wheel to make the cutter head quit. When the cutter is blunt, it shall be timely replaced or sharpened.
  • 4. Cutter head of electric beveling machine doesn’t rotate
    • Firstly check if the power supply, the power supply wire or the switch normally operates, and then check the length and elasticity of the carbon brush of the motor, if the carbon brush is severely damaged, replace it with a new one. If all of the above parts are normal, then it must be the failure of the motor which shall be repaired or replaced.
